The statement above is illustrated in the case of a California born woman, identified as Catherine Kieu, who chopped off her husband’s penis and threw it in a garbage disposal machine.
The 50-year-old committed the heinous crime because she was jealous about her husband's plans to divorce her to be with his ex girlfriend.
Catherine laced her 60-year-old husband's food with sleeping pills, tied him up and yelled "You deserve it!" before attacking him with a 10-inch knife.
Although her lawyer argued that she had mental health problems stemming from childhood molestation and sexual abuse by her husband, the court sentenced her to life in prison.
Her husband simply identified as 'Glen' survived, but reconstructive surgery was unsuccessful.
