After
much protesting and thousands of petitions calling for Reebok to dump
Rick Ross for his controversial lyric on Rocko's "U.O.E.N.O.," the
athletic brand announced yesterday (April 11) that it was parting ways
with the MMG boss. Rozay has taken to his Twitter account (@rickyrozay)
to address his split with Reebok:
Reebok released the following statement yesterday:
"Reebok holds our partners to a high standard, and we expect them to live up to the values of our brand...Unfortunately, Rick Ross has failed to do so. While we do not believe that Rick Ross condones sexual assault, we are very disappointed he has yet to display an understanding of the seriousness of this issue or an appropriate level of remorse."
While his endorsement days are done for now, Ricky is hard at work for another summer of MMG dominance, with projects by Meek Mill (Dreamchasers 3), Wale (The Gifted), Stalley and Ross himself (The Mastermind) on the way.
