Three friends, who reside in Isolo, Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, are facing trial before Ebute Metta Magistrates’Court, Lagos for allegedly beating another friend to death during a fight.
The suspects, Suleman Ibrahim, 21, Ibrahim Oyigye, 23 and Musa Ogbole, 24 were arrested and remanded in prison custody at Ikoyi, Lagos after they allegedly beat Aliu Sanusi, 24, to
death during the fight.
The suspects were charged with conspiracy and murder before the court.
P.M.NEWS gathered that the suspects had a disagreement with Sanusi which led to the fight. But it was not yet certain the cause of the argument which has landed them in serious trouble.
The suspects who were shocked when Sanusi collapsed and died during the fight, were arrested by the police at Isolo division, while the late Sanusi’s body was deposited at Isolo General Hospital, Lagos for autopsy.
The matter was transfered to the state Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Panti Yaba, Lagos.
When they were arraigned in court, their plea was not taken, while the prosecutor was ordered by the court to duplicate their file and send it to the DPP for advice.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs S.O. Solebo ordered them to be remanded in prison custody pending DPP’s advice.
